Our mission is to empower our members through educational programs and networking events that promote personal and professional growth. This year, my focus will be on enhancing our outreach efforts, expanding our educational initiatives, and creating more opportunities for our members to connect and share their experiences. We aim to provide resources that not only help our members succeed in their careers but also inspire them to lead with confidence and integrity.
I am thrilled to announce the launch of our new mentorship initiative, aimed at fostering growth, learning, and community within our organization. I have been fortunate to connect with mentors who provided me with invaluable insight to help me navigate the complexities of career development. I have also enjoyed mentoring insurance professionals in their professional journey as well. However, finding a mentor can be a difficult process. It is my hope that our mentorship program will help forge new relationships between experienced professionals with those eager to learn and develop their skills. Our mentors, carefully selected from diverse backgrounds and industries, are committed to sharing their knowledge, insights, and experiences with mentees. Through one-on-one guidance, we aim to create an environment where mentees can thrive, gain confidence, and achieve their goals. I encourage you to help us strengthen our community and apply to our mentorship program whether it is as a mentor or mentee.

NYCAIW sponsors two scholarships annually for students of The Maurice R. Greenberg School of Risk Management, Insurance and Actuarial Science at ST. John’s University. Scholarships are awarded to two highly-deserving female students interested in pursuing a career in the insurance field.
NYCAIW has also awarded scholarships to female students through its support of The Spencer Educational Foundation.
The NYCAIW also supports Sanctuary for Families which is the largest nonprofit in New York dedicated exclusively to serving domestic violence victims and their children through outreach, education and advocacy.
Each year the NYCAIW participates in a virtual Thanksgiving food drive with the Food Bank for New York City.
